Notes from the photographer, Vanessa of Heirloomsnaps: In a small mountain village a scandalous marriage of upper class meets lower class awaits at the Della Terra Mountain Chateau. What could the families say to the couple whose love and beauty brought back memories of their own youthful romances. Reds of mauve and pomegranate beat through the wedding day to represent the cycle of love and life. Gold and silver to bring the couple good luck behind closed doors and in their pockets. The village artisans made local delicacies like blue cheese chocolate truffles, croquembouche and fleur-da-li bundt cakes. The villages world renowned dress and jewelry designer charmed Stella, the bride, with their custom gown and jewels inspired by her beauty. A special tradition is kept to remind the couple once again of the cycle of love and life, the newlyweds sit down to enjoy all the tasty treats served on heirloom plates and goblets used in the grooms grandparents wedding. Next to the wedding couple's plates lay hand painted gold pinecones for happiness and fertility, soon to be placed under the their wedding bed. As the wedding carries on the newlyweds take a moment to walk the grounds of the chateau to chat about their new life together and share a few moments of lust. Uniqueness of Colorado Artisans and Design: Here in Colorado we are own village saturated with local talent. All the vendors that were used are examples of this talent. The shoot was styled to show that a Colorado bride could easily have her wedding elements custom made and custom designed without the help of big names and maintain a unique and romantic style that would make New York, Chicago, or Los Angles brides turn their heads. Furthermore, a bride could personalize her wedding further and give meaning to the details that she loves and start new traditions.
