On November 14th, ArtDenver opened with a high profile fashion show featuring four designers: Geoffrey Mac, Justin LeBlanc, Mondo Guerra, and Michael Costello. Geoffrey Mac opened the show with colorful edgy swimwear and dresses. His innovative designs feature an unexpected mash-up of futurism and vintage eras. Followed by feminine romantic designs by Project Runway Star Justin LeBlanc. Then Monda Guerra, a Denver-based designer and Project Runway Star, showed off his psychedelic 70's inspired designs topped with funky hot pink wigs. The show ended with to-die-for, red carpet ready, gowns by Micheal Costello, another designer featured on Project Runway. I particularly loved Mondo's show the best. The music and the clothes all came together. ArtDenver is an all-new indoor fine arts experience in Colorado. A portion of the proceeds supports year-round art education in schools throughout Colorado. Produced by the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, ArtDenver includes juried art show with 135 exhibiting visual artists from all over the country, in 13 media categories, including ceramics, mixed media, digital art, photography, metal works and drawing. The Opening Night Fashion Show reflects the unique appeal of ArtDenver by presenting locally and nationally-based artistic talent featuring cutting-edge design and innovation, while exemplifying luxury and fantasy, said R. Tony Smith, marketing and operations director of the Cherry Creek Arts Festival and ArtDenver. We are honored to have an opportunity to feature one of Denvers favorite designers, while bringing other national designers into our thriving, art-infused urban core.
