"We knew each other in high school and reconnected when I came home from college and he returned from serving 4 years in the marine corps! We chose to elope because we are both so laid back we didn’t want the big to do about having a wedding and reception. We also wanted the day to just be about us and enjoy each other. We originally wanted to elope in the redwoods and I had planned on just organizing everything myself but I quickly became overwhelmed trying to find a local photographer and vendors on my own. That’s when I found simply eloped and I looked through all the locations and saw the paint mines and I just loved it. I always loved traveling to Colorado and I knew that was somewhere my husband would really enjoy so it was an easy decision."
